The Weir Charitable Trust funds services and projects runs by Scottish-based community organisations and charities.
Categories that qualify for funding include health, or in the Trust’s own words, “…the advancement of health, including prevention or relief of sickness, disease or human suffering”.
Application details are available here, and Lothian Community Health Initiative Forum members (and other health projects in Edinburgh) would be eligible if your annual turnover falls under £100,000 and you apply for no more than £25,000.
The Weir Charitable Trust has funded some local projects over the years, such as the Portobello Older People’s Project.
If you’re interested, bear in mind that applications need to be in by 31 August 2016.
