Our next Health Inequalities Seminar in Edinburgh will be on the Community Empowerment Act.
This new piece of legislation offers interesting opportunities for community organisations to be involved in the planning of health and social care services, and to have a stronger say in how community buildings and land are used.
This seminar will give an overview of the Community Empowerment Approach including:
- the spirit in which the legislation was drafted
- how the Community Empowerment Act powers are currently developing
- an account of how the Act is being used in practice in Midlothian
- 28th of September 2016
- The City Chambers Edinburgh
